The Department came into existence in the year 2004 with the start of Bachelor of Computer Application (B.C.A) . At present two batches of B.C.A are running with third batch going to be admitted this July.

In the year 2007 the first batch of P.G.D.C.A was started under Dibrugarh University.

The Computer Lab is one of the modern Labs having 25 Computers at present with Broad band Internet and LAN Facilities .
